Cows. Who here loves cows? Eric and Lauren do and they have lots of them on their family farm just outside of Chester. It was the perfect location for their engagement session because it’s eventually where Eric and Lauren will live. The farm has been in Lauren’s family for years and it has one of the most beautiful views of Southern Illinois. I always love when a couple chooses a location that’s meaningful for them because it makes their session just that much more special. What made the session even more special was when we took photos with their favorite cow, Harriet. I asked them why Harriet was the favorite and they both in unison said, “because she’s the only one who will let us get close to her and pet her.” Harriet is so darn cute and I think I maybe got a few pets in. I honestly can’t remember. I was so excited and distracted by the beautiful sunset, the view and trying not to step in anything LOL. Mental note: do not wear sandals when taking pictures in a cow pasture.
I had so much fun with Eric and Lauren and I honestly can say that after this session, I’m warming up to the idea that living in the country one day wouldn’t be such a bad idea… if I could have a view like this. You’ll see what I mean when you scroll down.
P.S. Girls… be prepared to get hair envy from Ms. Lauren! Seriously, I absolutely loved her hair. UGH!
A favorite for sure!!!
Just look at this view 🙂
This is Harriet.
Isn’t she just the sweetest.
Swooning over this picture! I think I’ll just move here too, what do you think, Lauren?
