Matt + Brittany | Blush & Eucalyptus Wedding | The Pour Vineyard

October 6, 2017

Filed in: Weddings

A wedding on a Sunday. That’s what Brittany told me in her email to me about asking if I was available for her wedding date. I looked at my calendar twice before confirming that she and Matt were indeed getting married on a Sunday. They wanted a simple and casual wedding around noon and then a BBQ lunch served for their guests. Well, the venue they chose was absolutely perfect for their vision. If you’ve never been to it, you need to go check out The Pour Vineyard in Red Bud, Illinois. There is a fabulous barn that has been restored for ceremonies and recently they built a pavilion to hold their events and wine tastings. I have taken pictures there before but while I was there Matt and Brittany’s wedding day, I got to see the pavilion for the first time and it was absolutely stunning. If you are a bride looking for a venue that will give you the rustic feel, this is the place for you!

There were hints of blush tones all around, as well as lace and satin ribbons. And let me tell you, eucalyptus is probably my new favorite leaf of choice for weddings. I’ve seen it used before many times, for bouquet and decor, but this wedding just made me love it to a whole new level. Sometimes simple can truly be the most beautiful thing.

It was so much fun meeting Brittany and Matt’s families and some of which I already knew (it was so great seeing you Kelly) and their bridal party was so darn photogenic! Seriously, you’ll see below when you scroll through my favorites. I now have hair envy… too bad I wouldn’t look good blonde hahahahah.

I hope you all have amazing plans for the weekend. If you need me, you can find me working on my house or editing photos (I’m so behind on editing it’s not even funny).

First look!

Look how Matt looks at Brittany…. SWOON!

Matt…. you can definitely rock the ‘model face’ shot!

Brittany, you my dear are classic and timeless! Love this picture of you.

These two cannot take a bad picture! Seriously, they look good in color and black/white.

Awe…. already taking care of his girl and her shoes!

Reception details….

I call this pose the “TV sitcom pose” 🙂

It rained after the ceremony but we managed to get a few shots by the vineyard before getting poured on… at the POUR Vineyard. I crack myself up.
