Josh + Rachel | Wedding at the World Shooting Complex

May 16, 2018

Filed in: Weddings

I can remember it like it was yesterday. The day that Josh and Rachel got married. It was two weeks ago on what was probably one of only a few days of true springtime. It feels like spring was skipped over and it’s straight up summer these days, but on that special day, it was perfect. From the mint bridesmaids dresses, to the old classic cars owned by Rachel’s father, to the beautiful church and the amazing reception venue. Everything was absolutely perfect. Rachel’s gown looked as if it was made for her body only. Josh nailed his model face. Seriously, just wait till you scroll below. Josh is an engineer and he had a few ideas up his sleeve for the wedding. He made Rachel’s headpiece, which contained pearls from his grandmother. He also made the cake topper. Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t know too many grooms who have a hand in making anything for their wedding… unless it of course involves power tools and wood LOL.

As always, I like to share one of my favorite memories from each wedding. I have two. I’ve taken a lot of first look pictures of fathers seeing their daughters for the first time. But when Rachel’s father saw her in her as a bride, it had me in tears! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. You could just tell the connection that Rachel and her father have and it was so special to capture. My second favorite memory was when Josh and Rachel had their first dance as husband and wife. I don’t know if it was the string of lights hanging from the ceilings (the World Shooting Complex has a beautiful room for receptions) or if it was the song, but watching those two sing to each other wrapped in each other’s arms was so beautiful. It was like watching a romantic movie.

I’ve never been good at writing, so I’ll stop with the rambling. But I feel like I am pretty good about telling a good love story through photographs. So here’s a look at Josh and Rachel’s big day through my eyes.

Wow! Just as beautiful in the photos as in life!!! Great job again Kacey! You did have a very beautiful bride and handsome groom that possibly made it a bit easier for you to accomplish such memorable photos of a wonderful event.
