Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I think we maybe had one or two days of fall and now it feels like straight up winter out there! It’s a good thing I like the colder weather because this is my favorite time of year. Fall is the busiest for most photographers, or at least it has been for me over the years. It’s the time of year where seniors want to get their fall sessions in, families are booking fall minis to get ready for their Christmas cards and couples are wanting to get the beautiful fall colors into their engagement photos.

Carleigh and Brandon wanted a fall session and we discussed a couple options for locations for the shoot. The Du Quoin Fairgrounds never disappoint for me and I can pull out fall colors from a few trees there each year before true fall sets in. We started by the horse stables, one of my favorites. It’s a great place to start because where I wanted to take them next was a new spot I had never shot at before at the fairgrounds. I drove around and scouted the land before the session and there were a couple trees that were burning burgundy but I had my eye on one specific one. I knew from the minute I saw it that it was going to be magical.

Carleigh, you are gorgeous and I absolutely love your hair and complexion! You seriously cannot take a bad photo. And Brandon, I love the way you look at Carleigh! When I would say “nuzzle in,” you did so with a light touch and not forced. You had fun and you smiled through it all like a champ. I could see how much you adored Carleigh and it makes me so excited to capture your love on your wedding day.
