Sparta, Illinois – Fall Engagement Session
How the heck is it already December? It honestly feels like the last couple of months were a blur. One minute it’s September and the busy fall season begins. And the next thing I know, it’s already the second week of December and I just took photos for Christmas mini sessions over the weekend. I had so many great sessions and weddings and I can’t wait to show you all my favorites.
Up first is Kara and Gerry. Kara and I have mutual friends and over the years she’s attended numerous weddings that I was the photographer at. I knew who she was but we didn’t officially meet till she got engaged and booked me for her wedding. She and Gerry are getting married in the spring and it took some time narrowing down a wedding date and also finding a date that would work for their engagement photos. Our original date for the engagement session didn’t work out and it was a good thing because when we moved it, it turned out to be the week that we had amazing fall colors and the trees were absolutely gorgeous! Seriously, I call it the photography lottery because I can’t predict the weather (obviously) and when I’m booking sessions people are always asking me when is the best time for fall pics. It’s always hard to say but it’s usually the last week of October and early November. I can’t express to you how much I LOVE these pictures. Not only are Kara and Gerry so dang cute and super photogenic, the colors of the trees are simply amazing. The location for the first part of the session took place in Bricktown which is a subdivision in Sparta. It has these beautiful old historic brick homes and the trees are the best color in town during the fall months. The rest of the session took place at the Rotary Park, also in Sparta, on the south end of town. I could take pictures at the park every day and not get mad about it LOL.
As you’re scrolling through my favorites, you’re going to see a cute dog. I’m giving a warning now because once you see this dog you’re going to be swooning over how adorable he is and you’re going to want one. Bennett LOVES the camera. I swear that dog smiled at me the whole time. He was so cuddly and just adorable and he did so good for his pictures. If I could have a dog (I try to speak about wanting one around Huck LOL), I feel like I’d have a dog like Bennett.
Okay I’ll stop rambling so you can see what you came here for, the pictures. Enjoy looking through my favorites!
