Wine, Blush and Charcoal Grey Wedding – Chester, Illinois

If you know these two, then you already know how adorable they are and just how perfect they are for each other! Angela and Jordan have been so much fun to work and it’s a little bittersweet knowing that their wedding has come and gone. All that planning and it feels like the day will never get here and then it happens and it’s over. The good thing is, we have photographs to remember that day and oh what a day it was.

I have SOOOO many great memories from their wedding day and it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few. I’m going to share two of my favorites from the day. The first was the wedding ceremony. Angela and Jordan had one of the best wedding ceremonies I’ve been to. It was held at the St. Mary Church of Divine Maternity in Ellis Grove, Illinois. There was one point in the ceremony that stood out to me. Before Angela and Jordan spoke their vows, the officiant made a request for all the married couples to hold hands and remember the vows they once took at their own weddings. As I looked around the church, I saw couples smiling at each other and leaning into one another. It was so sweet and it was a great reminder for the married couples there that day. It was the first time I had ever seen that and I LOVED it.

My second favorite moment of the day was after the ceremony, and after all the bridal party portraits, we were all headed back into Chester and we needed to get a photo of Angela and Jordan in front of the sign as you entered Chester from the bridge. There was a message congratulating them. There’s not a whole lot of space there to pull over for a picture. Imagine a huge party bus, an SUV and a truck and I believe another vehicle all pulled over at the turn there (if you know Chester, you know what I’m talking about). It was crazy but when we got out people starting honking and waving and yelling “congrats” as they drove by. I know it was a shot that Angela’s mom was hoping we’d get and we made it happen.

I could go on and on about about this wedding day but I’ll just let the photos do the rest of the talking for me. Angela and Jordan, I want to thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. It was truly an honor to be your wedding photographer 🙂
