Fort Kaskaskia & Pierre Menard Engagement Session
Oh how I miss the golden glow of a fall. It’s been so dreary here, as usual, for this time of year, but it’s still sort of depressing at times. I love winter and it means I get to do lots of crafting without feeling guilting for spending too much time indoors. But I don’t get to take as many photos in the winter so I’m sort of missing getting clients in front of my camera.
Since I was so busy wrapping up the end of 2020 with editing and behind-the-scenes paperwork, etc. I’m finally getting to the point where I’m sharing all of my fall engagement sessions and weddings. I have so many goodies for you, so get ready!
First up is Claire and Devin. I’ve known Claire for years. She first came to me for her high school senior portraits and I’ve also done some family photos for her. When she contacted me and asked if I was available for her and Devin’s wedding date I was so excited. I love getting to see clients through the years at different stages of their life.
Fort Kaskaskia and the Pierre Menard home are beautiful locations, especially in the fall. Up at the park, there was this amazing yellow tree that was at it’s peak during their session. Some leaves were already on the grown too, so color was up above and down below. Claire and Devin brought along their two dogs too and you all know how much I love it when couples include their fur babies in their portraits.
I just have to say that I absolutely LOVE these pictures so much. Claire looks stunning in green!!! You just wait. And Devin, well… he just can’t stop grinning from ear to ear. There’s not a picture where he’s not smiling so big. These two are so dang cute and I cannot wait to see them become husband and wife later this year. Enjoy looking through my favorites.
