A Tinder-ella Story

Dating online and through apps has it’s pros and cons. Some pros are that it’s a way of taking away the fear of rejection, it’s really convenient for the modern world (since everyone seems to be super busy) and you don’t have to dress up. You can date from anywhere! Some cons are that it can attract the wrong type of person, it can be super costly and you really don’t know the true intentions of that person you’re talking to. For Sarah and Clint… they both had the best of intentions and it was a perfect match! They met on Tinder and they had “A Tinder-ella Story” on their koozies at the reception!

The day was absolutely beautiful. I met up with the girls getting their hair done at the salon. Mimmosas were poured, laughs and tears of joy started flowing and before we knew it, it was time to head to the church to get Sarah into her wedding gown. Her gown was breathtaking and it looked like it was made just for her! She had the biggest smile on her face as her mother was tackling all the buttons on the back (IYKYK) and as her bridesmaids all stood around her. She couldn’t wait to see Clint but before they did their first look, they wrote letters to each other. Again, more tears of joy were shed as they read the words from one another talking about how much they loved each other and that they couldn’t wait to be each other’s husband and wife. Their first look was so sweet and intimate and it was well worth the wait. I know some of my couples get so nervous but when they see each other for the first time on their wedding day, you can instantly see them calm and relax a bit. Isn’t it amazing how one person can make you feel so calm, safe and at ease.

After a beautiful ceremony with a church loaded full of their family and closest friends, we made our way to the reception where tables were decorated with mason jars filled with flowers, some place settings and of course, a koozie with the “A Tinder-ella Story” on it. It was the party of a lifetime for Sarah and Clint with light up tubes and everything. I haven’t seen a dance floor that full in a long time!

I have two parts of the day that stick out to me. One was watching Sarah and Clint read the letters from one another. When I say that these two were meant for each other, I mean it! Their letters were details and long and they were words spoken so true and from the heart. My other favorite part of the day was when Clint asked if we could take photos with the cows in the background by the church. We went off-site for the majority of the portraits that day but Clint loves his cows and so he was grinning ear to ear when we took those. Seeing a man happy with his arm around his girl looking at the cows that he loves so much… it was amazing to witness.

I’m truly honored that these two picked me to be a part of their day. I know I say it all the time, but I really do have the best clients ever. Enjoy looking through my favorites from their wedding day.
