Pierre Menard Home Engagement Session

Guess who’s getting married this Saturday!!! Kristina and Dylan are and I’m so excited. I cannot begin to tell yo how much fun I had with these two. We did their engagement session in the fall, as most couple choose. It’s such a beautiful time of year. The sunlight is different which means the lighting is different… in a good way The smell in the air brings the excitement of all the fall activities and the upcoming holidays. Last October, when Kristina, Dylan and I met up at the PIerre Menard Home, the weather that day was absolutely wonderful. The beautiful glow of the evening light was coming through perfectly and as we made our way through the grounds and property I remember thinking how cute these two were. They were a little shy and nervous at first but they quickly got comfortable in front of the camera and had a great time. I know most grooms-to-be don’t generally like their photo taken, but Dylan was so great. He did whatever I asked him to do. By the end of the session, I felt bad because the darn mosquitos came out of nowhere when we made our way up to Fort Kaskaskia. We were shooting down by the end of the park by this beautiful gate and then all of a sudden we were getting eaten alive. Mainly Dylan. We made a unanimous decision that we were good with the images that I had taken. I had so many images that it was hard to narrow down my favorites for their gallery and this blog post!

I can take a million photos but the end goal is to always capture the joy… and I really do feel like I managed to do that with Kristina and Dylan. I’m very much looking forward to Saturday’s wedding and seeing these two becoming HUSBAND and WIFE!
