Seasons Event Center – Sparta, Illinois
Have you ever stood outside on a super cold day and your whole body is shaking all the way from your head to your toes? Where you start to become numb and maybe just a tad purple? Cassidy and Kyle did just that, along with their whole bridal party and guests, on their wedding day. BUT, it was one of the most beautiful weddings and looking at these photos you’d never guess it was freezing outside! For as cold as it was on their wedding day, Cassidy and Kyle never once complained! I can remember taking pictures of Cassidy getting into her gown. I kept telling her how beautiful she looked and how much I loved all of her jewelry and little details. I promised her that I wouldn’t torture her with being outside too long for portraits. She told me that she was going to be just fine and wouldn’t let the cold get in the way of her wedding day portraits.
Cassidy and Kyle decided to stay traditional and Kyle didn’t see Cassidy that day til she walked down the aisle. Kyle stood with his back to the aisle and his best man turned him when Cassidy was standing their with her dad at the back. Once they laid eyes on each other Cassidy started making her way down to Kyle and he had tears of joy in his eyes. It was truly a moment that took his breath away and a moment that I’m so glad I got to see and capture. It’s one of my favorite moments of the whole wedding day! Whether you do a first look or not, the moment the bride walks down the aisle to the man of her dreams… it’s so special and intimate.
After the ceremony, a few family portraits took place but then everyone made their way inside to warm up and find their seats. The Seasons Event Center was decorated beautiful by Jonothan Reiman and his team from Twig Floral Designs. He really outdid himself with this one. Everywhere you turned there were florals, lanterns, candles and lots of boho elements. There is a wedding trend that I’ve been loving lately and it’s when the couple gets a neon sign made of their last name. It was hanging behind the head table and was really a neat centerpiece for that area.
The night ended with traditional first dances. There was a photo slideshow of Cassidy with her father playing while they had their dance and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the place! Okay, maybe it was just me LOL. Cassidy even threw in another special first dance with her grandfather and oh my goodness, I know he loved every minute of it and will cherish that memory with her. My coverage ended after the garter and bouquet toss but I knew the minute I left that the reception was going to be bumpin! The dance floor was full, laughter was all around and Cassidy and Kyle spent the rest of their wedding day celebrating with all of the people who they love the most.
Here are my favorites from their beautiful wedding day.
