Haue Valley Wedding – Pacific, MO

Do you ever meet people and have the feeling that you’ve known them your whole life? That was me when I met Mark and Meredith! From the very beginning, we hit it off. We had the best time at their engagement session and I can remember leaving that day feeling like I had just made new friends. They are truly genuine and kind and as their wedding day approached, I was so dang excited that I packed up my gear and picked out the items for my styling kit like 3 days before! Normally I have a routine to do it the day before the wedding but I just couldn’t wait.

Mark and Meredith were married at Haue Valley in Pacific, MO. It was my first time shooting at this venue and I instantly fell in love. It was no shock to me that Mark and Meredith picked this venue. Every area was stunning and the bridal suite/cottage was simply adorable. When I arrived and walked into the bridal suite, I was greeted from all of Meredith’s bridesmaids (her MOH is a past bride of mine) and the mothers. The smell of hairspray and curling irons was in the air and a pretty cool playlist was playing on Spotify. I always start off my day with shooting details and so I jumped right in. I wouldn’t say details are my favorite part of a wedding day, but it’s pretty close! Capturing all the details that you spent lots of time deciding on, and lots of money on, is pretty important.

After a first look with her bridesmaids, I took Meredith over to the main venue so she could do a first look with her dad before she and Mark could did their first look. I love that Meredith wanted to share special moments with those closest to her. I will say, my favorite was when Mark saw Meredith for the first time. If you know Mark, then you know how big his smile is and how he lights up when he sees his girl! These two are simply adorable and their private time alone doing portraits was so dang amazing. Meredith was a trooper, and her bridesmaids, because it was so dang cold. I kept giving them all breaks to warm up with their jackets and then we’d resume with more portraits. As always I had a blast with all of the groomsmen. They all were given matching flasks and of course we had to do a photo opp showing them off! They never once complained all day and it was noticed.

After a beautiful ceremony, everyone enjoyed some cocktails while the venue switched over the room to a reception area. White linens, acrylic table numbers, simple greenery decorated the tables and probably one of my favorite areas was the head table. It was a long buffet style table and it was a farmhouse table! I love it when a head table stands out from the rest. Another favorite detail I loved is the signature drink sign. You’ll see it below but they made a signature drink for their fur baby! Ben and I will be doing something similar at our wedding 🙂 The evening ended with amazing music, fun photos at the photo booth and lots of smiling faces. Their guests really know how to dance!

Enjoy looking through my favorites from Mark and Meredith’s wedding day.
