Fort Kaskaskia Engagement Session
Fort Kaskaskia in the fall is absolutely beautiful. It’s a local park close to me so naturally I shoot a lot there. Katie and Brandon wanted to use Fort Kaskaskia for their engagement session because they knew the colors would be beautiful and perfect for the look they were going for. Katie showed up in this gorgeous dress with a floral print all over and Brandon was matching perfectly with a nice pair of jeans and pink t-shirt. When I say that these two are the cutest thing, I literally mean it. They are seriously the sweetest couple ever! I walked them through my posing structure and got them comfortable in front of my camera pretty quickly.
There’s a beautiful tree that’s in the center of Fort Kaskaskia and it’s always hard to predict when it’s going to change colors in the fall. Katie and Brandon picked the right day for their session because that tree was in full fall glory! This gold beauty was the setting for a few of their shots and they’re probably some of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken out there at Fort Kaskasia. It was so hard picking my favorites from that area but I managed to pick the best of the best to share with you.
Time flew by and before we knew it, it was time to change into the second outfit. Their second outfits were a little more causal and Katie even brought along a jacket that has her future last name on it. I love little details like that and I can’t wait to see Katie wearing that jacket again on her wedding day. I know I say it all the time but it’s absolutely true when I say that I have the best clients ever. Katie and Brandon were such a joy to work with. I really feel like I captured their personalities and love they have for one another in these pictures.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
